FAQs

The majority of apprentices work full-time jobs, however 20% of their time throughout the apprenticeship must be spent studying and learning outside of the workplace. It is still acceptable to start an apprenticeship if your business only hires you part-time, but the apprenticeship will last longer.

At least one full day of study is required each week for the apprenticeship. Your employer and Law Apprenticeships will decide which day works best. Also, time needs to be set aside for online 1-2-1 meetings and webinars.

Not necessarily. An apprenticeship can be a worthy challenge that allows you to learn while earning real-world experience and abilities, but it also calls for resilience, organisation, and self-discipline.

You will be assigned a Progress Tutor and also have access to our resources and apprenticeship platforms.

The employer will decide on this. The specific employer should be consulted. Remember that apprentices are compensated for both their regular working hours and any associated training.

After completing all 7 modules you will have completed a full portfolio of paralegal evidence and will have an end-point assessment call where you will discuss your portfolio of evidence with an external assessor. After successful completion of this stage, you will be issued with a level 3 paralegal diploma and will be to registered as a practising paralegal with NALP.

Graduates who did not study law are allowed. If the apprenticeship will allow the individual to acquire significant new skills and you can demonstrate that the training’s content is materially different from any prior qualification or a prior apprenticeship, funding rules allow apprentices to begin an apprenticeship at the same level as or below a qualification they already hold. To learn more visit our Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship.

Alternatives to A-Levels that are acceptable include, for instance, earning a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (formerly known as a BTEC National Diploma) or completing a Paralegal Level 3 Apprenticeship.
