Focus Functional Skills is BKSB’s online teaching and learning tool created to enhance candidates’ fundamental abilities, knowledge, and comprehension of English and maths needed to take their Functional Skills tests.

The platform is split into five main sections that are intended to guide the student through all of the crucial portions of their maths and English tests.
BKSB's 5 Step Process:
A sophisticated and dynamic online test that accurately determines a learner’s current maths and English proficiency level. The Initial Assessment, which is best used at the beginning of a learning programme, uses sophisticated algorithms to choose the questions that will be most helpful to each learner.

The Diagnostic Assessments in English and maths, which are intended to be taken after the Initial Assessment, give students a correct level for the following components:

In addition to each chapter within. It also displays how far the candidate is from reaching the following level.

Following initial and diagnostic evaluations, students are directed to the appropriate resources in their individualised learning plan to develop on skill gaps.

- Offers the fundamental knowledge base for functional Maths and English.
- Ideal for classroom, workshop, work-based, and distance learning, this material is appropriate for both tutor-led and independent learning.
- Detailed tracking and reports
At the completion of a learning module, the Progress Checks assess the progress of the student. The learner’s learning plan and reports are linked to the results after that.
The Progress Checks are fully interactive and self-grading, providing teachers with crucial progress data while also offering students with rapid feedback.
