What is the conveyancing practitioner?

The Level 6 conveyancing practitioner apprenticeship leads to full qualification as a licensed conveyancer, regulated by the CLC.

You'll be able to run your own files independently and, in time, own or lead a conveyancing practice.

What you'll do

Handle all residential and commercial property transactions independently.

Advise on complex matters: leasehold, new-build, shared ownership, commercial leases.

Manage a team of paralegals and technicians.

Progress toward owning or leading a conveyancing practice.

Year 1
Foundations

Property law, contract, land registration.

Year 2
Complex transactions

Take on leasehold, commercial and complex residential.

Year 3
CLC exams + qualification

Complete CLC final exams, qualify as licensed conveyancer.

Entry requirements

Requirements are set by each firm, but most look for:

A-levels or Level 3 qualification (or Level 4 technician progression)
Grade 4/C or above in GCSE English & Maths
UK/Irish/settled status (for funding)
Right to work in England for the duration
